Your treatment is your business. TrayWise is built so that we never see your data at all. This policy covers TrayWise on iPhone, and on Android (coming soon to Google Play), and it is short because there is almost nothing to disclose.
Nothing. TrayWise has no accounts, no sign-up, no analytics, and no advertising, on either platform. We do not operate any server that receives your data. On Android, the app does contain Google's Play Billing library, described below under "Google Play Billing on Android": it is not an analytics or advertising SDK, and it never sees your wear sessions, tray schedule, or photos.
TrayWise does not use your location and does not track you across apps or websites, on either platform. You log your own wear sessions and tray schedule by hand or with a single tap.
Everything you enter in TrayWise (your wear sessions, tray schedule, notes, and any progress photos) is stored locally on your device; there is no TrayWise server or sync service of our own on either platform. On iPhone, if iCloud is available, your data is also mirrored to your personal, private iCloud database, encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple. On Android, there is no iCloud equivalent: your data stays local to the device, and if Android's own device backup is turned on, your wear history, tray schedule, and progress photos are included in your own Google account backup, encrypted by Google, and restored automatically if you reinstall on that account. We have no access to any of it, on either platform.
If you take a progress photo, TrayWise asks for the camera permission at that moment. Every photo stays on your device (included in Android's own device backup as described above) and is never uploaded by us. On Android, no separate photo-library/storage permission is requested.
TrayWise schedules local reminders for tray changes and for putting your aligners back in. On iPhone, these are local notifications. On Android, the put-your-aligners-back-in reminder uses the exact-alarm permission so it fires on time even if the phone has been idle, and an ongoing, dismiss-proof notification shows your live wear time while you are wearing your tray; both survive a phone restart. You can turn notifications off at any time in Settings > Apps > TrayWise > Notifications on Android, or iOS Settings > TrayWise on iPhone, without affecting the rest of the app.
On Android, TrayWise contains no analytics or advertising SDKs. It does contain Google Play's billing library, which Google Play requires for in-app purchases. That library lets Google Play process and restore your Pro purchase, and it also sends Google technical diagnostics about those purchase connections, such as whether a request to Google Play succeeded, so Google can keep its billing service working. Google handles this under Google's own privacy policy, and it never includes your wear sessions, tray schedule, or photos.
TrayWise Pro is a single one-time purchase, the same on both platforms, with no subscription. On iPhone, it is processed entirely by Apple through your App Store account. On Android, it is processed entirely by Google Play through your Google Play account. We receive no payment details on either platform.
You can export your full wear history and schedule as CSV at any time from the app, free, on either platform. On iPhone, erase everything by deleting the app (and removing TrayWise data from iCloud in iOS Settings). On Android, uninstalling the app deletes its local data immediately, unless you later reinstall and restore it from your own Google account backup.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
